During the late 00s, Activision had a reputation - and whether this is fair or not, I can only speculate on based on my dealing with them as an editor - of being a commerce-driven publisher. Let’s pause for a second here and consider how bold a move that actually was. So much so, in fact, that Treyarch decided to present it to Activision, to see if they could include it in the game.
